Persephone, goddess of springtime and flowers is the daughter of Demeter and the wife of Hades, whom she loathes. Wherever she walks, flowers grow. When Hades saw her he knew she would never love him so he kidnapped her and married her. She is forced to live in the underworld and only is allowed time on earth during the springtime.

Hephaestus, god of fire and volcanoes, husband of Aphrodite, is the blacksmith son of Zeus and Hera. Hera did not like the way he looked when he was born, so she threw him from the top of the castle on Mt. Olympus. He fell straight into the sea, where sea animals rescued him and brought him to the island of Lemenos, where he built his refuge under a volcano. He made Apollo’s chariot and the shield of Achilles, along with other weapons and armor.
